SILCHAR, July 3: Gauhati High Court reportedly suspended judge D S Haque temporarily on June 29 under an interim order of the Gauhati High Court, though causes leading to his suspension are still unknown. A few months back, he was working as an additional district judge in the first track court of Silchar. During that period some allegations of irregularities with regard to some MACT cases were brought against Haque in the Gauhati High Court.
With reference to those complaints, Gauhati High Court Vigilance Department registrar H K Sharma came to Silchar a few days back for investigation by an order of the High Court. Only after receiving Sharma’s investigation reports, Haque was reportedly suspended. SOURCE: THE SENTINEL
